Onde menos se espera...

Today, Tel Aviv municipality had decided to establish and to sponsor a center devoted to the LGBTQ community. This center is the first of its kind to be built in Israel and a big building will be given, renovated and will be maintained by the municipality with investment of millions.

 

The fact it's a municipal center proves that the municipality supports and acknowledge the presence and the needs of the LGBTQ community in the city even more than before.

 

The center is going to be a center of culture; social center for the elderly; it will provide health services and social working services; will hold youth groups and support groups for HIV carriers; it will have a library and information center. The possibility of running kindergarten in the future is also being processed.

 

Thanks to the initiation of a member of the city council Itay Pinkas, which thought and lobbyed for the project, today the dream is coming true.
